Golden West High School Red Scarlet Demonstration

_mg_0001Mr. Scott Smith Media Instructor at Golden West High School in Visalia, CA invited 3B Digital Studios to demonstrate the Red Scarlett camera for all of his media students in his five classes. During the course of the day 3B covered much of the technical highlight the Scarlett has to offer camera operators. We setup a set, so to speak, where some students were camera operators, focus pullers, sound techs, and actors. The students had a good time going through the motions of capturing the shots and yes, a few retakes. It wouldn’t have seemed real with the retakes.

Adam Beck did a great job of covering the tech stuff, the camera features and operations. The kids took to it in no time at all. The results were good.

Mr. Smith took his student to Stanford University’s Film department last year for some DSLR camera training. As we were leaving he was in communications with Red Digital Studios, Hollywood about Red Camp, Red’s 1-week student film school program.

3B Digital Studios seeks the opportunity to invest in students so that they might discover a desire, a talent and ambition to go after a Motion Picture Industry career. Mr. Smith is doing it right and there were several students in his classes that have made great strides in understanding the challenges and taking steps to develop the required talent. 3B would like to thank Mr. Smith and all his students for a very rewarding day.
